When you notice a conflict arise between a path you are committed to and an opportunity that would take you in a different direction, know these three things:
1. Your energy is immediately being wasted by the internal conflict. Freedom is paramount.
2. Every opportunity you see is actually created by you. There is no loss in saying ‘no’ because you can always create more opportunities.
3. Commitment to a path is a spiritual act. It focuses the energy of your spirit into a particular form. Just like with monogamy; it is not natural in the animal sense. It is an expression of the human spirit and what we are capable of.
