For a long time I believed multitasking was impossible. However, I recently discovered this opinion was lacking a more subtle understanding.
The primary obstacle to multitasking is a confabulation between your focus of attention and the use of the body through speaking or movement.
We can obviously do multiple things at once with our body.
However, is impossible to multi-focus; we can only place our focus on one thing at a time. Denying this is what inevitably leads to frustration and distress.
In slowing down, relaxing and allowing your focus to move consciously from one thing to another (and back again), your physical body is able to flow between multiple tasks very quickly. This allows for peaceful and present productivity to come from multiple actions at the same time.
